When you first start using Tava video, you'll be prompted to allow camera and microphone access in your browser.
The microphone takes your sound in so the other person can hear you, and the speaker plays the other participant's sound out to you. The camera takes your video in so the other person can see you.
If you're having trouble, check out these instructions for the browser you use:
- How to Unblock Your Camera on Chrome
- How to Unblock Your Camera on Safari
- How to Unblock Your Camera through Mac or Windows OS
- How to Unblock Your Camera on Samsung

You are able to choose which microphone and camera you'd like to use for your Tava video call by clicking on the gear icon in the top right of the video. Select the microphones and camera you wish to use. If you don't see anything in the list, check to make sure your browser has camera and microphone permissions enabled.
Also, make sure you are on a recent version of your browser. We only support Safari 11 and above. To upgrade, usually all you need to do is restart your browser (quit, then re-open).
