If a care navigator schedules a session with a new provider on your behalf, this session will remain "pending" until a few action items are completed. A "Pending Appointment" is a session scheduled by a care navigator that may be canceled after 24 hours if the required action items are not completed.
Pending Appointment Confirmation
After a pending appointment is scheduled by your care navigator, you will receive an email confirmation with the required action items to complete within the next 24 hours. If the actions are not completed in time, the session will be automatically canceled.
Required Action Items
After a pending appointment has been scheduled, you must:
- Complete Intake: This includes taking a brief mental health survey, adding an emergency contact, and adding a credit card to cover late cancellations or no-show fees (if not covered by sponsor)
- Accept Provider Policies: Read and agree to your provider's late cancellation and no-show policy.
Viewing Pending Appointments
You can see if an appointment is pending by reviewing your scheduled sessions on your account dashboard. Pending appointments will be labeled with the "Pending" flag, and will display the list of items you need to complete. They also show how much time is remaining to complete the required steps.
Canceled Appointment
If you do not complete the required steps, your appointment will be automatically canceled. You will be notified by email, and you may choose to book a new session by contacting your care navigator or by booking a session on your account homepage.
