Tava Health provides access to therapy options, including couples counseling. Insurance-pay couples therapy is not currently supported on Tava.
Scheduling Couples Therapy
If you are currently seeing a provider on Tava, follow these these steps to find and book a provider who offers couples therapy:
- Log into your Tava Health account.
- Select "Change Therapist" and select any reason.
- Scroll past the default recommendations to access the filter options.
- Apply a filter for Session Type "Couples Therapy"
- Review the list of providers that meet your criteria.
- Send an email to client-support@tavahealth.com with the request to add this provider to your care team.
- Go back to keep your current individual provider without changing.
If you do not currently have a Tava Health provider for individual therapy:
- Log in or create an account at care.tavahealth.com.
- Complete the intake steps.
- Apply a filter for Session Type "Couples Therapy"
- Review the list of providers that meet your criteria.
- Schedule a session with your desired provider.
Joining a Couples Counseling Session
When participating in a couples or family therapy session through Tava, the platform supports a maximum of one devices per session. This requires both participants to be in the same location. Only one participant needs to have a Tava account.
